Darren joined Mill Architects in 2016, following a 17 year period managing property construction projects for various housing associations in Edinburgh and Fife. Prior to that Darren cut his teeth in the world of architecture at Wheeler and Sproson Architects, where he gained valuable experience in social housing and the health sector. It also provided a solid grounding in the art of detailing and construction.
At home, a construction project is never very far from Darren’s mind. A current project is a brick pizza oven and progress on this is enormously helped (hindered) along by his enthusiasm for creating fermented foods and drinks. A very sociable pastime, his colleagues I’m sure would agree.
What gets me out of bed:
I am lucky enough to live in a beautiful part of the world with my loving family in the shadow of the magnificent Forth Bridge. My brilliant colleagues at work make it the most enjoyable way to spend my working day. No one day is the same (although our Spotify playlist needs some work) and every day provides new and wonderful challenges. Need I say more?
